Wheeeee... Isn't This Fun? Or Something?!
I think moving across country induces insanity. I do. Just ask me. Today we decided to try the drive with Nina. What?! Are we crazy?! Yeah, indeed, I think we are. The conversation went something like this... Me: It's going to cost us an arm and a leg to fly and then for me to rent a car for three days until you get to Mesa. Jeff: Yeah, I know. Me (whining a little -- it rubbed off Nina): And Deb might not be there. What am I going to do for three days with two kids, a rental and no home? Jeff (totally unsympathetic because I've been dinking around too much): I dunno. ::shrug:: Me: Maybe we should try to drive. You know, if Gab were helping to entertain Nina, it wouldn't be too bad. Jeff (motivated by not wanting to come back and make the drive again if we can't tow his truck): Hm, you might be right. Me: And if it got to be too much, we could just fly me from whichever is the closest city. It's going to cost an arm and a leg anyway at this point. (starting to sound hysterical and notice the repeating thing?) Jeff: Yeh. Let's try it. And maybe I embellished a little, but that's pretty much the crux of it. It's tough to type in this strait jacket.
