Missing Illinois

Can I come back to the Midwest? I miss my friends, the seasons... my house. I could have two out of three, right?

Last year I think I was too fresh from the move to really miss the impending autumn, but this year it's twinging hard. And I miss my friends... miss the Grove. I know I'm being nostalgic and forgetting the things that drove me nuts, like the fishbowl effect and the conservativism. I don't care. Right now, I just want to see some maple leaves getting ready to change colors, to feel the nip in the air and know that snow is not far away, to know that Samhain might actually require a sweater. I want to crave warm drinks and have cold feet and wear a sweater in September. ::sigh::
