I haven't had time to dig deeply into your archives. The little I've seen has pricked my consciousness (as did your entry before this one) enough for me to say YES! Try it. Worse thing that can happen is that it doesn't get published. But you might be surprised. ...Meanwhile, if you recall my personal tastes, of course I want you to keep fictions efforts going as well!

I definitely think you should keep writing both, but I also think you should go for it (blog bundling) and see what happens. ~LA

One of the reasons people read your blog is because it's *real*...so many are just filled with fluff, but you talk about real life, hard and painful and beautiful all at once, and that's the stuff good writing is made of. I'm with LA - go for both! :)

I would certainly read it. Your writing comes straight from the heart. And your perspective -- that of strong intelligent woman, mother, wife, pagan -- is one that we can always use more of in the print media. No matter how busy I am, I still make time to read your diary and go back to read anything that I've missed. Simply put, your writing is compelling and, whether on these electronic diary pages or bundled in book form, it is something that I (and I'm sure that others) want to read.

In all honesty, I think you would have to narrow your focus a bit. Because blogging is so out there, why buy the cow... ya know? Thinking, of course, from a publisher's perspective. If, however, you focused on a single topic, and intermingled your entries in with additional information about the issue, you might have a winner. I really liked your idea of discussing grief from a Pagan mom's perspective. I might even take it further than that and go with your more broad belief that the "grief textbook" is not a perfect fit for everybody. From a marketablility standpoint, a grieving parent going through a similar situation might not pick it up if they thought it only applied to Pagans. Just my thoughts. I do find you to be a very gifted writer. Your writing is authentic and raw and candid, but part of the emotional draw for me might be because I know and love you.

I'm with LA. Why not do both fiction and non fiction? Your entries would be great too as personal memoirs. Literary journals are getting much keener on buying pieces like that. And, it allows you to make money on the piece more than once! There's a journal in my hometown (called Mindprints) that accepts memoirs. If you'd like, I will check my books for all their info. Granted it's a journal focusing on people with disabilities, but I believe any of your entries about Jasmine could be contenders.

Our neighbor has an old mom and pop store. For years a robin has made her nest in the Welcome wreath above the door and every year people come to see how the eggs and babies are doing and watch them grow. This year she had 4 eggs and it didn't take long for them to outgrow the nest. 3 of them flew early but 1 only made it as far as the porch. The mom continued to care for it and it wasn't long before it too learned to fly. My point is, even if the journal bundled doesn't "fly", with love and nurturing, your writing eventually will. The key is being willing to try. You already have 1 copy sold and I expect it to be autographed.
