What did she say to that? Hopefully she was mortified. Is she your regular stylist? Maybe you can educate her a little.

Hahahahaha! What a delightful story. I love it when people say, "But surely you don't believe in all that hocus-pocus?" ("What, you mean like the Bible? Or the Lord's Prayer? Or the Nicene Creed?" I reply.) Sheeeeesh. Love, R xxx

That was a very beautiful entry. I have been interested in this practice, but am not educated enough about it to actually pursue it or understand it. Could you please recommend some reading material that would be helpful? I am glad that you had a enjoyable experience. It sounds very spiritual and relaxing. Thanks for sharing.

She was pretty sheepish. And I laid the trap, really, staying very quiet and letting her dig her hole. She is my regular stylist, and she's very young, so I did take the opportunity to educate her a little, and gave her the benefit of the doubt. I kept thinking of that quote from MacBeth: "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, then are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Hilarious! And very very good point on prayer not working out, by the way.

Pooh...and again I say, pooh. You were too busy educating people about witches to remember the play, and everyone knows the quote itself anyway. And the important part is that the words are true, no matter where they come from. I honestly just figured I was remembering wrong, lol.

I busted a gut when I got to the end of your entry. I just had this vision of her face when you said it. However I still find that camp filled a void, not necessarily changed my views. Well maybe altered in the sense that it raised questions that I had not considered before. But alas, I remain a hypocrit, I'm still hiding the ring from my mom. That is at least until I get through my mound of books so I can answer all the questions.
