The Wheel Turns

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. I think the wheel is on its upswing. A very-good-most-excellent-tarot-reader once told me that part of the challenge of having the Wheel of Fortune as my life card is that I have to learn to stand in the center of that wheel as it goes round, keeping perspective and not being flung out to the far ends. It is definitely my challenge. And thanks to Willow, also, for pointing out that all of the wheel is me.

Tomorrow Jeff leaves to do the closing on our house in Illinois. I'm feeling a little sad about it -- it's the final physical tie to Illinois being severed. It helps to know I'll be visiting Chicago in December and that I'll see some of my Midwest friends then. And maybe at camp next year, depending on where I go.

And... drumroll please... Jeff starts a new job next Wednesday! It's a fill-in-the-gap job until he gets on with the police department, but the money isn't bad and he's excited about it. I'm so happy, and so unaccustomed to not having to worry about him getting a job, that I don't know what to do with myself. If you'd like, you can send him a note of congratulations. He'd like that. As for what he's doing, maybe he can leave a note in the comments area about it, because it's not really that clear to me, other than he's sort of like a concierge for a car dealership.

So yeah... the wheel is turning up and I'm doing better. Thanks again for all your love and support!
