Warning: Rant Ahead

What the hell kind of world is it when your government becomes your worst nightmare, and your close friends suffer a significant loss, and your period starts early for the second month in a row, and most importantly, the unkindest cut -- what kind of world is it when you have a huge, blow-out zit smack in the middle of your chin exactly one month away from your 34th birthday?! You know, the kind of zit that cover-up only calls more attention to, because it's all ragged and scabbed over, the kind that hurts and magnetically attracts your fingers, even though you're not supposed to touch, the kind that should be reserved for 15 year old girls?!

Also, Nina, the cherub about whom I usually rave? Monster! Wickedness! Thinks she's a terrible two when she's only an extreme eighteen-month-old! That nice little vocabulary she was developing? Gone! Replaced by demanding shrieks and staccato finger-pointing at tables full of objects, and I'm supposed to guess which one Her Highness wants! I know she's having a time adjusting to Jeff being gone, first to close on the house (the singular bright point in this month), now to work, but for crying out loud! I'm about to lose it!

I am sick of November, can it be over now?
