Ha ha ha ha that sounds just like something I would do. I am so useless in the kitchen, I probably would have set the house on fire too.

At least we figured this out before we sat down to eat. I can just see it. "Umm...This is err...a... pretty good dear." As my hand shoots out for the glass on the table to wash it down. "Yeah great! Where did you get this recipe again." Promising to myself to accidently drop the mag into the dishwater. "OHHH!1 Sorry."

So...do you have that recipe handy? It sounds good to me. Probably something my mother would like to try.

Sounds like one of my cooking misadventures! I love Cooking Light magazine though... it's far and away my favorite. I've never had a bad recipe from them... all mistakes are purely my own!

OOOOOO my, I have done that often enough LOL One mistake I usually make is to look at the recipe and then not notice if it says tsp or Tbs. I've made some seriously salty dishes doing that :D

You are so right: Always read a recipe through to the end before attempting it. This also goes for sewing patterns. It can be disastrous to do otherwise. Good think you caught it before you actually served it.

Thank you so much for the note you left earlier this week. It meant alot to me. It's hard to be judged by someone..especially someone you don't even know. It just makes you question everything and pulls down your self-confidence. thanks for your encouraging words. Oh, also..your cooking experience had me laughing. It sounds like EVERY cooking experience I've ever had.:)
