Jasmine's Story ... Our Story

I've moved away from wanting to write a self-help style book for grieving families -- I'm not really qualified in the clinical sense. What I would like to do is write the story -- either memoir-style or by fictionalizing it, a la Alice Sebold's The Lucky Bones. Some things I've been pondering, aside from the form, is whether to let the focus be on Jasmine's life or on her death and the aftermath of that. I suppose it could be both, really. Those of you who know us and those of you who have read the grief entries, what do you think?
