Baby Moshing
There is something very gratifying about moshing with your almost-two-year old daughter to Nirvana's "Drain You," followed by Social D with "Sick Boys." That great lull in the middle of "Drain You" bass and drums and suddenly Kurt screams out and the guitar shrieks back in -- magic. The bouncy melody of "Sick Boys" -- irresistible.

I used to dance with Jasmine to "Live Through This" by Hole, so somehow it felt full circle. I'm not sure who had the bigger grin plastered on her face -- me or Nina. My little rocker. Gods willing, she'll stay that way. None of this pop candy crap!
